This client wanted a hanging curio cabinet in which she could display her collection of antique and foreign teacups and saucers, as well as some porcelain boxes. Many of these items had belonged to her mother and were quite precious to her. Since downsizing from their home, she no longer had the large china hutch in her dining room to display them.
Her home also has several antique clocks that her husband had restored, like the one on the wall, so I worked up a design that had similar design elements that are reminiscent of simpler Federalist furniture.
