Hollow Form #1

Previous

This hollow form vessel combines two woods — ambrosia maple for the body— and mahogany for the inset top. “Ambrosia” refers to effects caused by the ambrosia beetle, which bores through the wood. A fungus on it's legs and shell get deposited on the wood fibers.  Sap spreads the fungus through the wood, creating a web-like pattern.
